Baños de Agua Santa, so its complete name, is located 40km away from Ambato, the main city of the Tungurahua province. Baños has a wonderful landscape where thousands of visitors come looking for spiritual and physical ecstasy. Now Baños transformed into a national and international tourist center, it is the ideal place for doing ecotourism and extreme sports in the nature.

Its pleasant sub tropical climate and its amazing vegetation are very welcoming, right after the chill of the Andes. Baños is the door to the Amazon, a unique place for nature lovers and hikers.

At Baños you will find the hot-springs pools: El Salado, Piscinas de la Virgen, and Santa Ana. You can also rent bicycles, motorcycles or horses if you are planning an excursion to its surroundings.

On the skirts of Tungurahua Vulcano (5016m) is located the city of Baños, this volcano gaves the name to the entire province. It is famous since 1999 when it began to eject smoke from its crater, but an eruption didn’t occur yet.
